Unit Testing for SQL

90 minutes *hands on practitioner level

Description:

TDD is mostly focused on testing business logic, and not persistence. Yet the data is often of critical importance, and can be neglected in some TDD approaches. In this practical workshop, KRS will discuss how to test your SQL using the tSQLt tool.

Unit tests for SQL improve your test coverage, and allow legacy systems to be included in testing.

Learning Objectives:

  • Extend your test coverage to include persistence, stored procedure logic, and batch processes.

Audience:

Developers

Requirements:

Laptops with SQL 2008 or greater with AdventureWorks DB (Express versions will work as well).

Speaker:

Alain King
