Our journey to an awesome distributed team

In our current working environments, we find ourselves in situations where internationally distributed teams are becoming more prevalent.  It’s a natural mechanism that companies are considering to scale.  Talent is everywhere in the world, so why restrict ourselves to the local market?  How do we as agile organisations approach this in the best way?  Are we really being agile?  How should we optimize the experience for the members of the team?

As a product owner, I am currently working in a scrum team distributed across countries and with international stakeholders.  I’ll share my thoughts and insights on the challenges we’ve experienced and what is working for our team that you could consider in your own work environment.
