SUGSA is hosting a Coaching Day in Cape Town facilitated by two amazing coaches: Olga Yiannakis & Dianne Norton.
This event will provide attendees an opportunity to learn and practice practical coaching skills in a safe space. The group is kept intentionally small to help ensure the sessions are hands-on and engaging for all present.
The day is aimed at scrum masters, agile coaches or any agile team members who currently are or want to practice their coaching skills.
Agenda:
Olga’s session:
Coaching the team as a system
As a Scrum Master/ Agile Coach, we need to holistically coach the team to improve their performance. It’s important to understand the dynamics within a team, build effective relationships & to understand how the team is a system & forms part of the bigger system of the organisation. Together we will explore the team as a system & how we can better coach them.
Dianne’s session:
Practical Coaching skills with an understanding from Neuroscience
This workshop will provide the opportunity for practical learning of coaching skills incorporating true listening (Based on Time to Think). You will also get the opportunity to apply practical questioning within the context of a simple coaching framework.
This is integrated with an understanding of the importance of safety and belonging in the work place, based on neuroscience insights, showing how this enables higher levels of team performance.
Venue
The event will be taking place in the Cape Town CBD. The exact venue will be communicated to attendees during the week before the event.
